EY Collaborates with Microsoft Cloud and OpenAI to Create Intelligent Payroll Chatbot

EY, the accounting firm, is partnering with Microsoft Cloud and Azure OpenAI to develop a new intelligent payroll chatbot for its clients. The chatbot, called EY Intelligent Payroll Chatbot, will leverage language learning models and artificial intelligence from ChatGPT to streamline payroll employee experiences and increase employee satisfaction rates.

Real-Time Support and Workforce Insights

The chatbot will provide employees with quick responses to their payroll-related queries, irrespective of the language they use or the time zone they are in. It aims to reduce the workload of call centre employees and employee information portals. Moreover, the chatbot will also automate payroll administrator controls and utilise data insights to guide workforces, ensuring that employees receive the necessary support in real-time. Furthermore, if employees cannot find the help they require through the chatbot, they will be directed to helplines for further support.

Enhanced Payroll Processing

The addition of the EY Intelligent Payroll Chatbot on the Next Gen Payroll Platform promises to provide enhanced payroll processing, incorporating advanced technologies and generative AI. EY’s global vice chair of tax, Marna Ricker, states, “The expected addition of EY Intelligent Payroll Chatbot on our Next Gen Payroll Platform will highlight our continuous innovation and collaboration, alongside Microsoft, to provide market-leading services.”

Employee Experience & Mobile Application

The EY Intelligent Payroll Chatbot will be integrated with EY’s employee experience mobile and web applications enabling more detailed access to payroll-related documents for employees across 159 countries.
