Despite knowing nothing about coding, Mankind tasked ChatGPT with designing a top 300 memes coin.
Although there were a few hiccups along the way, Turbo became a huge success, with NFT artist Beeple even immortalizing the memecoin in one of his signature works. The popularity of Turbo pushed Mankind to launch Generations, his own NFT collection created using AI. And even more remarkably, a desperate fan of Mankind’s work reached out to thank him for helping to save his life.
The success of Turbo and Generations is significant because Mankind accomplished all this without a team of experts or in-depth knowledge of finance. With ChatGPT at his side, he believes that anyone can now create a $100 million token without needing a team or lots of experience.
But what about using AI in other types of writing? Although ChatGPT has been used to replace some professional writers, it still can’t conduct interviews or create unique and creative content. However, as more companies seek to cut costs and produce content faster, AI writing could become more prevalent.
There are already AI-generated articles about finance that are circulated on websites such as CNET, Bankrate, and AP. Additionally, some websites are completely generated by AI, leading to a surge in the creation of similar cheap content that is competing for attention on search engines like Google.
However, writers shouldn’t be too concerned yet, as AI-generated content lacks the uniqueness and personal touch that human writers can provide. In Hollywood, the Writers Guild is currently on strike, demanding a ban on AI content, fearful of that day when Hollywood becomes entirely filled with the same 100 people rewriting ChatGPT.
AI-written content is still subject to human values and biases, which can make it difficult to produce content that is free of political and societal influences. For example, the bard chatbot created by Google and ChatGPT were criticized for their political opinions. Still, research suggests that reinforcement learning with human feedback can help combat this issue.
Yet, it isn’t easy to know where AI writing will go from here. One thing that is certain, however, is that AI writing can lead to some fantastic results.
